Terms

Draft. This page states how Tilepoch works today and who may play. The owners' final text replaces it before real-money play opens; you are asked to accept it again then.

What Tilepoch is

Tilepoch is a game of territory on Solana: 2 to 5 players claim a shared board, and the round's result is decided by the game's program on chain. Each player stakes USDC to sit at a round.

Your buy-in is the whole charge: a small hosting and network fee is inside it, taken only once the round has a result. The winner takes the pot less every player's fee and a 5% cut of what remains for Tilepoch. A draw gives each player the buy-in back less the fee. If a round gets no result by its deadline, the whole buy-in comes back, fee included. A loser loses the buy-in.

Who may play

By accepting these Terms you confirm that:

  • you are 18 or older;
  • you are not located in, resident in or a citizen of a Prohibited Locality: the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, and the sanctioned territories (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea, the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and any country under OFAC sanctions);
  • you are not a Restricted Person: not named on, or owned or controlled by someone named on, a sanctions list;
  • you are not using a VPN or anything like it to get around any of the above.

Tilepoch does not check these. You are responsible for them, and for following the laws where you are.

Your wallet and your money

  • Your wallet is a Privy embedded wallet that only you can use: Tilepoch holds no key to it and cannot move what it holds.
  • A round's stakes sit in that round's own account on chain until the program pays them out or refunds them.
  • Your balance, claims, refunds and withdrawals never wait on these Terms, whether or not you accept them.

Who runs a round's moves

Rounds play on a rollup run by MagicBlock, named in the app before you press READY. The rollup's operator orders every move of a round: it decides in which order moves land, so it can decide who wins, and it can delay a move or leave it out. If the rollup stops, a round with no result refunds at its deadline.

Fair play

Playing with automated help (a bot) and playing in agreement with other seats (collusion) are cheating. Accounts found cheating are banned from playing. What their wallets hold stays theirs to withdraw.

Risks

  • Tilepoch's program, its servers and the networks it runs on can fail, or be wrong.
  • USDC's issuer can freeze USDC, including a round's account.
  • Every move is public on the rollup before it takes effect: anyone can read a rival's next turn.

Changes

These Terms can change. When they do, the app asks you to accept the new version before your next game.
